Hey there.
Just wanted to say I lost my job about 5 weeks ago, since then I've been in a huge funk, I haven't been able to draw or write comics or songs. I haven't mailed out our new CD to any radio station.. I haven't worked on press releases. Nothing.
In fact, I penciled a comic on April 1st and I've been staring at it for a full month now.
Since I lost my job, a guy I used to work close with died in a violent way, I got a wicked virus and ran a fever for a week and my job prospects have gone into the toilet. Also my house in Fort Worth is not fucking selling for shit. I've been paying on it for 4 years and people want to buy it for LESS than what I owe! WTF!
So I'm going to ink that fucking comic, and I'm going to color it, and I'm going to post it on here and you are going to comment how great it is, even tho it's retarded because I NEED IT.
Otherwise I'm going to come to your house and slap you.

We got our CDs just in time for the CD release party tonight!
This is what 1,000 CDs looks like.
If you are looking to have your ass rocked right out of your pants come to Fred's Texas Cafe in Fort Worth tonight from 7-10pm.
The CD should be available for download on txmfrecords.com Tuesday and probably available for stealing on the rest of the internet Wednesday. |

Hey everybody!
STAPLE! the indie comic con in Austin was last week and was probably the best one yet. Melissa and I sat with Mitch Clem and Nation of Amanda who are funny as hell... and just behind us was Paul Milligan and David Hopkins who are working on a badass graphic novel called "How To Lose Big". Behind them was some dude's named Jeffery Brown and Chris Onstad. We also got to meet KC Green and his buddy Lance! Oklahoma has some cool comic guys.

I got a book of Frank King's Gasoline Alley comics from the 1920's. I picked up the hatch marked top of that first panel and the new word balloon style.
King could really ink the shit out of a comic. |

Merry Holidays you guys,
Sorry it's so hard to read parts of this, but I don't care.. this isn't a web comic. It's designed for print and I'm putting on the web cause I like you, and I like hearing what you think of what I do.
I'm pretty proud of this art.. there's some things I f'd up on it.. like the hard wood floor and some of the lettering, but c'mon.. Seriously, this is so much better looking than what I used to do. Every page gets a little better
Anyways I hope you like it. I hope you have a good holiday. I hope I get to go drink some more whiskey tonight.
